| We purchased "Chick" in October of 2007 in foal to Peppys Damon for 2008. She took a bit to warm up to us, but we found a kind, intelligent, trusting horse once she did. She now will come in off 30 acres at a trot for some pellets and scratching. We think she may have a few hours logged under saddle because she tries to "drop her bit" every time you take her halter off. I really would like to try her under saddle someday, when I have some free time! She is a wonderful mare with a great mind, flawless conformation and a fabulous disposition. Her trust in her human companions is something she passes on to her foals. On May 10, 2008 she foaled a beautiful gray filly (born black of course) and on May 18, 2010 she foaled a gorgeous bay filly. The filly had foaling complications and we anxiously await her recovery. |
