We purchased our Jack in early July 2007 and knew that he
was shy with mares, so we began our search for a teaser
Donkey.  The first donkey/mule sale we attended, we hit the
"jack"pot.  (Pardon the pun!!)  I have never before owned a
Donkey, and I am now convinced that I will never be without
one, they are such incredible members of the equine family.
Cinnamon is a 10 year old donkey and was unsure of human
attention.  I don't think anyone had ever been unkind to her,
just distant.  She did a complete turn-around with constant
attention and now greets the car with a wonderful Hee-Haw
the minute I pull in the drive.  She had a beautiful jenny foal
on July 7th, that we unfortunately lost after 56 hours.  She
was here such a short time, but she left a huge hoofprint on
our hearts.  She has proven to be very useful as an alarm for
when my expectant mares lie down to foal.  She is also a
great herd guard and protects all the babies against
would-be predators.
