| CHANTEQUILLA LACE Grade Tobiano Filly 06/23/06 "Lace" arrived on June 23rd in the middle of the afternoon, a totally unexpected time of day for foaling. I was at work and received a call from my mother telling me that in between the time she had come down to pick up the grandkids from school and the time that she headed back home, Tilly had gone from no signs of labor to having her newborn filly dried off, up and nursing. It's amazing that they can do all that inside of 45 minutes. Tilly is anything but predictable and yet, to this day her filly "Lace" is calm, sensible and trustworthy, even with inexperienced people. We have had an opportunity to breed our stud to a wide variety of mares with very different dispositions and we have never had a foal that doesn't inherit his sound mind and calm disposition. This filly is living, working proof of that. She lives with our extended family in Michigan. |
