| Lonesome "Whiskey" Rain APHA # 877356 05/25/2006 "Whiskey" was our first foal from Spirit and he has surpassed all of our hopes and expectations. He was foaled on May 25, 2006 and by two he stood 15.1HH. After selling my personal gelding in 2008 to a wonderful girl from Belgrade, I made the decision to then keep Whiskey for myself. I am so happy I did! He progressed well under saddle that summer, making two trips to the Wilderness boundary. He is curious, quiet and will do anything and go anywhere you ask him to. His first ride as a three year old was fresh off pasture with no handling in 2 months and he rode out quiet. He is even prooving himself a worthy trick horse and loves to bow for his pellets! In September of 2009 we took a 7 day hunting trip at the top of Pyramid Pass in the Bob Marshall Wilderness. He drug logs and crossed boggy creeks and climbed through thick blowdowns without fail. I've never ridden a three year old with as much stamina and try. He is proof, in the flesh, that what we are producing here is quality family horses that have the desire and ability to wear many different job titles.
