"Star" came to us in July of 2009 at a monthly horse sale at our local livestock
yards.  The auctioneer couldn't get a bid on her because those in attendance
weren't in the market for young fillies.  We took a chance and got her for a
song.  I fell in love with her immediately because of her white socks, I just
wish she had a fourth (I'm partial to stocking-sorrels, but she'll do!)  She is a
people horse and hates to be without human interaction.  Down on pasture
last summer she would fjord the river and go through mud just to visit the
neighbors on the hill for a while and then she would join her four-legged
companions again inside the pasture.  We found her visits stopped when we
made daily contact with her......That personality should make for a terrific
partnership under saddle.  I'll will post updates to let you know how she does.
